Wanted is based based on Mark Millar’s explosive graphic novel series and helmed by Russian visualist director Timur Bekmambetov. Wanted is Bekmambetov’s first American film.

Angelina Jolie is back in action as mystery woman, “Fox” who indoctrinates James McAvoy into a secret fellowship of assassins so highly trained that they bend the very laws of physics. Wanted also stars Morgan Freeman as their gun-wielding guru.

Wanted is set for release in June 2008.

Sex and The City - the Movie, is currently in production, and are still filming. Initial release date is my 2008 but, given how production and post prod timetables can be, there might be changes in the release date schedule.

Speed Racer is based on the classic 1960’s Japanese animated series about a young race car driver and his attempts to obtain glory, on the most advanced car created by his father, the Mach 5.

Emile Hirsch headlines Speed Racer; yes the same guy from A Girl Next Door. Interesting line up of supporting cast: Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, John Goodman and more.

Scheduled for release in May 2008, Speed Racer is listed among the top ten movies to look out for this year. Check out the trailer, to see if there is any truth to that claim.

Look out Marvel comics fans! Another one of your Marvel comics heroes leaves the pages of your comic book to make his debut on the big screen.

Our steel-plated superhero is played by Robert Downey Jr. who brings humor and humanity to the role of Tony Stark AKA Iron Man, the billionaire who builds and wears the indestructible armor.

The Iron Man has a great cast lead by some big names; there’s Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeff Bridges, Samuel Jackson, to mention a few.

Iron Man is due for release in May 2008.
